Mewrinerk somehow got into Argent Manor, but couldn't gather items to sell because of Cadella, Unfinished Pletus, and Zadra Spellweaver. So you went in and defeated those enemies. Mewrinerk rewarded you, though he was a little disturbing at how far he would go for love.
