Wizabo told you that he needed a special Artefact Activation Stone which embodies Aion's will to finalise the Protection Artefact. Apparently, it is only found inside the Tower of Eternity. But it seems the will of Aion did exist outside of the Tower of Eternity, once. You were asked to obtain it. After you had discovered Aion's Will in Sphiro's Treasure, you wanted to help complete the Protection Artefact on the Concealed Sky Island. Suddenly a Rift opened and Elyos poured through, destroying the Artefact. The destruction of the Artefact was followed by a massive explosion that destabilised the Aether Flow. This in turn caused a terrible earthquake and gave rise to an Abyss Rift, which annihilated the Sky Island. When you reported to the Agent about the chain of events, he grew very angry and told you that he could never forgive the Elyos for destroying the Artefact. He said it would be necessary to prepare for missions even more thoroughly in future. He will call you as soon as the next mission is ready for you.
