Mercus said he is gathering information on the strategically important Roah Fortress to recapture it, but the Asmodians have been interfering with his work. He wanted you to punish those Asmodians, so when you returned after defeating the Asmodian troops in the fortress he thanked you for your efforts and gave you a reward.
