No doubt the Agent received the Fragments of the Tower of Eternity. Now that all preparations to create the Artefact are complete, she asked you to take care of loose ends. Dezabo told you that he needed a special Artefact Activation Stone which embodies Aion's will to finalise the Protection Artefact. Apparently, it is only found inside the Tower of Eternity. But it seems the will of Aion did exist outside of the Tower of Eternity, once. You were asked to obtain it. After you discovered Aion's will in Barteon's Treasure Chest, you wanted to help complete the Protection Artefact on the Hidden Sky Island. But a Rift suddenly opened and Asmodians poured through, destroying the Artefact. The destruction of the Artefact was followed by a massive explosion that destabilised the Aether Flow. This in turn caused a terrible earthquake and gave rise to an Abyss Rift, which annihilated the Sky Island. When you reported to the Agent about the chain of events, she grew very angry and told you that she could never forgive the Asmodians for destroying the Artefact. She said it would be necessary to prepare for missions even more thoroughly in future. She will call you as soon as the next mission is ready for you.
