According to Albrich, the Remote Controller had to be used to prevent the Balaur from using the Bioweapon they had developed. Since he could only defend against magic attacks very weakly, he asked you to go to Draupnir Cave for him to get hold of the Remote Controller. You defeated Jaadis and gave the Remote Controller to Albrich. It seemed as though he regretted not going himself.
