When you brought him the feathers from Sphiro's descendants, he told you about the records and said that Sphiro could be called by throwing the feather's into the air on his territory. You went to Sphiro's Territory and held up the feathers from Sphiro's descendants there, at which point the spirit of Sphiro appeared. Sphiro told you about Ventus, his decaying body, which the soul had already left. Sphiro asked you to destroy his decaying corpse so that his descendants could be freed from the curse laid upon them.
